GUEST POST: My name is Cathy Merritt; I am honored to write the opening of the God Will Make A Way Ministries May Newsletter.

I recently wrote a book about my journey as a Christian called Real World Grace. My book is focused on loving people where they are at and showing them the truth of Jesus Christ through agape love. It’s one of the reasons why I am a supporter of God Will Make A Way Ministries as one example of real-world grace.  

As believers, we have the commission to take the Gospel to the world, by making disciples who make disciples who learn what the Master knows and then do what the Master does! By helping families overcome the financial hurdles of adoption, GWMAW realizes that faith stories are actually family stories.

“Since God is present in every situation, anything can happen. If people will turn their attention and focus to God, they can and will in time be transformed by the renewing of their minds. This is a promise from our Christ our Lord.” (pg. 29, Real World Grace)

It’s amazing how support for GWMAW has spread through IL and beyond.

On Sunday, April 23^rd, Board member Steve Surratt did a solo concert and meal at the Clayton Christian Church in Clayton IL. Proceeds from his concert and meal went to support adoption grants through GWMAW. 

On May 20^th, in Herriman, UT, a rugby match between the Utah Warriors and the Houston SaberCats is raising money for different ministries, including GWMAW, through the efforts of Jacob Perazzo. Jacob is suffering from terminal cancer, but as he heroically stated, “I choose to live and give back.”
